1. What is Yoga for Recovery?
Yoga for Recovery is a 12-step based discussion and yoga practice open to anyone and everyone dealing with their own addiction or affected by addictive behavior of others. It combines the tools of working a 12-step program and the wisdom of yoga. It’s a slow, stretch and flow practice along with recovery readings that address addiction for the mental, physical and spiritual disease that it is. Beginners are encouraged to join!
Most of my regulars know, but for those of you that are new or do not, I am Kathleen Picardi and I am a yoga instructor and woman in long-term recovery. Stay tuned for our interactive blog beginning in January.
I hope to see you at a yoga class soon. We meet every Sunday at 6PM for 90 minutes at the Center in Scituate or on zoom. We will not be meeting Sunday 12/26/21 but look forward to our next meeting in January.
