3/17/2020:

Dear community,

As stated, at South Shore Peer Recovery our mission is to create a safe space in the heart of the community where people with lived experience join together to build skills, provide support and find hope in recovery. We have been and plan to continue doing just that, especially in these difficult times.

With the unpredictability of the current environment, South Shore Peer Recovery Center will be closing temporarily until the current crisis has stabilized. The safety of our community and staff is our highest priority. In the coming days, we will be working diligently to transition our offerings to virtual settings via the Zoom platform. We are committed to providing continued recovery and family supports going forward and will continue to find new and innovative means of doing so.

The definition of community is a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. Let us all come together as a community and share that feeling of fellowship as we work together to support each other in these trying times.

As we continue practicing social distancing, we encourage you to stay connected – when you think of someone, call that someone.
